Mike Saffell, 72, of Beallsville, Ohio died Saturday, June 18, 2022 in the Stellar Care Center, Woodsfield, Ohio. Born August 8, 1949 near Alledonia, Ohio, a son of the late Kenneth and Sylvia Ruschak Saffell, Mike was a jack-of-all-trades; he enjoyed fishing and hunting.
He was a retired employee of Bennoc, Inc., where he worked as a heavy equipment mechanic and operator.
In addition to his parents, Mike was preceded in death by a son, Bill, also by siblings Lucy, Nancy, Bob, Donnie, Richard, Lloyd, and Floyd.
Surviving are his wife of 50 years, Juanita Hvizdak Saffell; two daughters, Staycee Saffell (Sherman McEndree) of Bethesda and Jamey (David) Taylor of Beallsville; a grandson, David Taylor of Beallsville; a granddaughter, Laykottaha (Sam) Taylor-Gilmore and a great-grandson, Angelus Cuichta, all of Elm Grove; two brothers, John (Beth) Saffell of New Lexington and Roger Saffell of Powhatan; a sister-in-law, Judy Saffell; several nieces and nephews; also his grand-furbabies, Sammie, Coop (aka Little Sherman), Puggie, and Pickles the cat.
A memorial gathering for family and friends will be held Thursday, July 21 from 12 noon until 5pm at Mike and Juanita’s home near Beallsville.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers and keepsakes, memorial contributions to help with expenses be made to Harper Funeral Home, PO Box 250, Beallsville, Ohio 43716.
