Patty Mellott

Patricia Jane "Patty" Mellott, 78, of Beallsville, Ohio passed away Friday, December 7, 2018 at her home. She was born May 2, 1940 in Malaga, Ohio, a daughter of the late Ernest and Corynne Williamson Knowlton. Patty was a lifelong homemaker and a member of the East Sunsbury Baptist Church near Beallsville where she served in various ministries. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Chuck Knowlton, Bob Knowlton, and Frank Knowlton; a sister, Elaine Nething; and a son-in-law, Eugene Ward. Surviving are her husband of 60 years, Carlos Mellott; 4 daughters, Vicky Ward of Baltimore, Ohio, Kathy (Donald) Dornon of Beallsville, Stacy (Rob) Lash of Columbus, and Carla (Tim) Adams of Beallsville; eight grandchildren, Casey Shriver, Corey Dornon, Shawn (Ranae) Dornon, Rachel (Adam) Leek, Jessica (Ryan) Ogilbee, Tiffany (Jake) Blankenship, Nicole Lash and Jordan Ward; 13 great-grandchildren, Ryan, Katelyn, and Jamisyn Dornon, Bryson and Brenna Shriver, Alexis and Chase Dornon, Wyatt and Amelia Leek, Oakley and Levi Ogilbee, and John and Lydia Blankenship. Friends and family may call Sunday from 2pm to 8pm at the Harper Funeral Home, Beallsville where funeral services will be held Monday at 1pm with Pastor Jeff Horner presiding. Interment follows in Beallsville Cemetery.
