Richard Charles Hagan, Sr., 74, of Beallsville, Ohio passed away Monday, May 29, 2023 at his home. He was born August 4, 1948 in Baltimore, Maryland, one of five children of the late Steven and Hilda Hagan. Richard was a US Army Veteran of the Vietnam Conflict and a retired lab analyst at the former Ormet Rolling Mill at Hannibal, Ohio with 29 years of service. He was a member of the Beallsville First Christian Church. Richard was happiest when he was at home surrounded by his family.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded death by his wife, Sharon Bowers Hagan on January 31, 2017, also by three siblings, Michael and Joe Hagan and Elizabeth Boittnott. Left to cherish his memory are his children, Richard Hagan, Jr., Daniel (Amber) Hagan, and Cristi (Richie) Yingling, all of Beallsville; a granddaughter, Ashley (Jay) Earley; seven grandsons, Steven and David Yingling, Conner, Benjamin, Daniel, Austin, and Aaron Hagan; and a sister, Ruth Longnecker.
Family and friends will be received Friday, June 2 at the Wilson Funeral Home - Harper Chapel from 11 am until the time of the funeral service at 2pm with Wayne Clark officiating.
Burial will follow in Beallsville Cemetery with full Military Honors by American Legion Post 768.
