Robert Leo Phillips

Robert Leo "Bob" Phillips, 84, of Jerusalem, Ohio passed away Thursday, June 18, 2020 in OSU Wexner Medical Center, Columbus, Ohio. He was born July 7, 1935 in Belmont County, a son of the late Kenneth D. and Hazel Davis Phillips. Bob retired from the former CONALCO plant near Hannibal, Ohio in 1998 however his passion for working on the family farm continued until the day he was hospitalized. He was a member of the Jerusalem United Methodist Church and Friendship Lodge #89, F&AM, also Barnesville Chapter 206, OES. Left to mourn his passing are his loving wife of 63 years, Margie Stevens Phillips; sons and daughters-in-law, Robert "Bobby" and Barbara Phillips and Alvin and Kenya Phillips, all of Jerusalem; a brother, Kenneth C. (Lola) Phillips, of Beallsville; grandchildren, Heidi Phillips Meade, Matthew (Danielle) Phillips, Sarah (Trey) Schmidt, Angelica Armejo, Stephanie Armijo, Christian Phillips; great-grandchildren, Uryan, Breanna, and Jaxon Meade; Emmett, Amelia, and Leo Phillips; Thomas Schmidt; several nieces and nephews; also special friends, Tim Ackerman and Bonnie Johnson. In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by a brother, Virgil Phillips; a sister Pearl Phillips; also a great-granddaughter, Gracelynn Marie Schmidt. Visitation for friends and family will be held at the Harper Funeral Home, Beallsville, Monday June 22 from 6 PM to 8 PM where social distancing will be observed and face masks are encouraged. Graveside services will be held Tuesday, June 23 at 12 noon in the Jerusalem Cemetery officiated by Pastor Darla Schnegg. In keeping with Bob's giving spirit, the family requests that in lieu of flowers and keepsakes, memorial contributions be made to Friendship Lodge #89, F & A M, PO Box 412, Barnesville, Ohio.
