Ronald M. Davis

Ronald M. Davis, 78, of Quaker City, Ohio died Saturday, May 14 2011 in Barnesville Hospital. He was born October 2, 1932 near New Castle, Ohio a son of the late Monford and Edna Brown Davis. He was a 20-year career Air Force Veteran having served during the Vietnam conflict and he was self-employed. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Joe, Clarence "Nick", and Hillis Davis. Surviving are a brother, Warren Davis of Springfield, Ohio and two sisters, Edith Matthews of New Mexico and Della (Glenn) Mellott of Beallsville; several nieces and nephews; his care-giver, Judy Hayes and her family of Quaker City. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 11 AM until the time of the funeral service at 1 PM at the Harper Funeral Home, Beallsville with Rev. Richard Wilson officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Horeb Cemetery, near New Castle.
