Ronald D. Hendershot, 73, of Beallsville, died Thursday, April 30, 2015 in the Woodsfield Nursing and Rehab Center. He was born June 11, 1941 in Switzer Township, Monroe County, the only child of Chalmer and Gladys Brown Hendershot. Ronald was a retired employee of A T & T, a member of the Church of Christ, Moriah Lodge 105, F & AM, Captina Chapter 489 OES, Osiris Shrine, Indian Patrol, Scottish Rite, and American Legion Post 228. Ronald was a Switzer Township Trustee for 36 years. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Fraley Hendershot on January 4, 2013. Surviving are three sons, Dan (Susan) Hendershot of Beallsville, Dave (Robin) Hendershot of Sardis, and Darren (Carla) Hendershot of Powhatan Point; six grandchildren, Jennifer (Bryan), Bo, Zachary, Travis, Lindsay, and Cassie; two great grandchildren, Jakob and Elena. Visitation will be held Sunday from 2 PM until 4 PM and 6 PM until 8 PM at the Harper Funeral Home, Beallsville where funeral services will be held Monday at 11 AM with Minister Jeff Rich officiating. Interment will follow in Beallsville Cemetery. Masonic services will be conducted Sunday evening at 8 PM at the funeral home.
