Ronald "Ron" Robert Daugherty

Ronald Robert “Ron” Daugherty, Sr., 82, of Jerusalem passed away Sunday, May 22, 2022 in the home that he loved. He was born December 30, 1939 near Jerusalem, Ohio a son of the late Raymond Daugherty and Martha Kirkbride Daugherty Yaus. 

Ron was a retired foreman with Ohio Valley Coal near Beallsville and a proud US Army Veteran. He was a loyal Green Bay Packers fan and he enjoyed fishing.

Ron was preceded in death by his father, Raymond Daugherty; his mother, Martha Pearl Kirkbride Daugherty Yaus; his step-father, Keith Yaus; and a daughter, Kimberly Jean Bable.

Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 59 years, Bonnie Milhoan Daugherty; a son and daughter-in law, Ronald Robert “Bob” Daugherty, Jr., and Margaret; six grandchildren, Kimberly (Brian) Kemp, Kammie (Bobby) Ridley, Zachary Daugherty (Hannah Bever), Keith Bable (Blake Castello), Kenneth Bable, Jr., and Kelsie J. Bable (Terrell Osborn); four great-grandchildren, Jacob, Isabella, Allen, and Carter; two brothers, Don (Joyce) Daugherty and Dale Daugherty; several nephews and nieces, and many friends.

Visitation will be held Thursday, May 26, from 2pm to 4pm, and 6pm to 8pm at Harper Funeral Home, Beallsville where funeral services will be held Friday, May 27 at 11am.

Burial will follow in Jerusalem Cemetery with full Military Honors by American Legion Post 768.
