Russell Dwayne Lucas

Russell Dwayne Lucas, 70, of Alledonia, Ohio died Saturday, January 5, 2019 near his home as the result of an automobile accident. He was born June 2, 1948 on the family farm near Alledonia, a son of the late Leroy and Flora Hartline Lucas. Russell was a retired employee of the former North American Coal #3 Mine. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Jerry Lucas and Randy Lucas. Surviving are his mom, Nina Lee Phillips Lucas of Alledonia, two sons, Rusty (Kathy) Lucas of Alledonia and Shannon (Chrystal) Lucas of Powhatan Point; a brother, Mark (Dee) Lucas and a sister, Beth (John) Hill, all of Alledonia; seven grandchildren, Eric (Jess) Lucas, Derek Lucas, Luke Lucas, Lacey (Taylor) Kinzy; David (Misty) Wiles, Jeremy (Angie) Wiles, and Jonathan (Bri) Wiles; one great-grandson, Karter Kinzy; his extended family, Dee Carter, Larry D. Pickens, Vic Rataiczak and Brandy Winegardner; two sisters- in-law, Linda Lucas and Dixie Lucas; two step-sisters, Diana Parker and Vicky (Neil) Miller; several nieces and nephews, also many friends. Visitation will be Tuesday, January 8 from 2pm to 4 p.m. and 6pm to 8 p.m. at the Harper Funeral Home, Beallsville where funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 9 at 1 p.m with Wayne Clark officiating. Burial follows in Belmont Ridge Cemetery.
