Scott Brown, 60, of Beallsville, Ohio passed away Thursday, June 25, 2026 in Barnesville Hospital following a brief but hard-fought battle with cancer. He was born March 12, 1966 in Barnesville Hospital, Barnesville, Ohio, a son of the late Richard Brown and Sharon Rose Smith Baker. Scott was an avid fisherman and hunter and will be remembered for his eagerness to help others. But most importantly he will be remembered for his love for and devotion to his children and grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Scott was preceded in death by two brothers Richard “Dickie” Brown, II and Mark Brown. Left to cherish his memory are his children Belle Brown, Bradley (Jenna) Holcomb, Austin Brown, and Jessica (Justin) Reed; two granddaughters, Layken Jeffers and Serenity Reed; a sister, Kelly (Randy) Davis; and a brother, Chris Brown; also many friends.
Visitation will be held at the Wilson Funeral Home - Harper Chapel, Beallsville Monday, June 29 from 11am until a time of remembrance at 1pm when family and friends will be invited to honor Scott’s life by sharing their stories and happy memories. Burial will follow in Beallsville Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers and keepsakes, Scott’s family requests that memorial contributions to help with expenses be made to Wilson Funeral Home, 920 National Road, Bridgeport, Ohio 43912.
