Shelvie L. Boles

Shelvie L. Boles, 79, of Beallsville, Ohio died Thursday, November 10, 2016 while a patient in Barnesville Hospital. She was born December 4, 1936 in Monroe County, a daughter of the late Basil and Vera Tillett Palmer. Shelvie was a member of the Beallsville EMS Auxiliary, the Beallsville VFD Auxiliary, and was also dispatcher for both the Fire Department and E-Squad for many years. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Walter "Tater" Boles; one sister, Jane Mellott; four brothers, Leroy Rowley, James Smith, George Palmer, and Charlie Palmer; also by a son-in-law, Danny Baker. Surviving are three children, Glenda Baker of Belmont, Bruce Willcox and Janie Boles, both of Beallsville; two step-children, Sandra Berry of Columbus and Walter (Stacey) Boles, III of Antioch; one brother, Sonny (Pat) Palmer of Woodsfield; six grandchildren, Gage, Bradley, Rusty, Michael, Sabrina, and Kelley; two great grandchildren, Abby and Nathan; several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held Monday, November 14 at the Harper Funeral Home, Beallsville from 10 AM until the time of the funeral service at 12 Noon with Bob Burrow officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Bruce Willcox or Janie Boles, PO Box 66, Beallsville, Ohio 43716 to help with expenses.
