Virgil Glenn”Slug” Coe, Jr., 79, of Beallsville, Ohio (Ozark Community) died Monday, June 14, 2021 at his home. He was born October 8, 1941 near Buchanan, West Virginia, a son of the late Virgil, Sr. and Bernice Lanius Coe.
Virgil was a retired employee of North American #4 Mine. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his his beloved wife and best friend, Barbara Jean Casto Coe; two daughters, Cathy Jean Coe and Kellie Lynn Coe; a grandson, Randal Pittman; also a son-in-law, Scott Pittman.
Left to cherish his memory are his daughter Karen Pittman (Mike Britton) of Beallsville; his siblings, Diane Stackpole (Gary) of Texas, Judy (Rick) Shanholtz, Linda (Mike) Oliver, Peggy (Craig) Finley, and Steve Coe, all of West Virginia; special friends, Gary and Vickie Burkhart; several nieces and nephews and many friends.
In keeping with Virgil’s wishes there will be no services at this time, however a gathering of family and friends will be held at a later date.
