William Lloyd Powell

William Lloyd Powell, 90, of Barnesville passed away July 28, 2014 at Emerald Pointe Nursing and Rehab Center, Barnesville, Ohio. He was born November 28, 1923 near Beallsville, a son of the late Lloyd and Rose Kindelberger Powell. William had been a long distance truck driver for many years and retired after driving school bus for the Barnesville Exempted Village School District for 22 years. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Glenna Barbara Gramlich Powell on July 12, 2013, a brother, Don, and a sister, Jean Carle. Surviving are a sister, Mildred Paine of Fairfax, Virginia, also 18 nieces and nephews. There will be no visitation. Graveside services will be conducted Thursday, July 31 at 11 AM in Beallsville Cemetery with Rev. Richard Wilson officiating. Because of William's love for cats, memorial contributions may be made in his honor to Barnesville Veterinary Services, c/o Spay and Neuter Fund, 112 North Chestnut St., Barnesville, OH 43713.
